Best SEO agencies in the UK
desk research from public sources- Seven UK SEO agencies ordered by how closely their work fits a typical SEO buyer and how much of it they can show, led by documented results with baselines.

- Glass Digital and Re:signal work for ecommerce brands, Gripped for SaaS and tech, and Hallam for B2B. Exposure Ninja, Reboot Online and Wildcat Digital take a wider range of clients.
- Every entry has a stated weakness, from unpublished prices to case studies that are four to nine years old.

Prices checked October 2026. Estimates say so in the price itself. How we choose agencies: our method.
How we picked these
Eligible agencies are UK-based and list SEO as a core service. Seven qualified for this page: Exposure Ninja, Glass Digital, Re:signal, Reboot Online, Wildcat Digital, Gripped and Hallam. They are not interchangeable. Some work for ecommerce brands, one only for SaaS and tech, one only for B2B, and one mainly for small businesses, so the entries say who each suits.
The order follows fit first: how central SEO is to what the agency sells, and whether its work matches a typical SEO brief. After that we looked at what each agency can show, meaning case studies with baselines, awards on organisers’ lists, published prices and a named team. This is desk research from public sources only, and we have not hired any of these agencies. More on how we choose agencies.
1. Exposure Ninja

Exposure Ninja is a search marketing agency founded in 2011 and run as a remote team, with offices in Nottingham and London. It covers SEO, AI search, content, PPC and web development, and lists WordPress, Shopify and HubSpot among its platforms. It suits mid-market businesses in finance, healthcare, legal, manufacturing and renewables that want case studies with baselines.
What they do best
- Confirmed awards. It won at the UK Search Awards 2024 and the Global Search Awards 2025, both on the organisers’ lists.
- Before-and-after figures. Russell Regulatory Consultants went from 24 organic leads in the previous year to 91 in six months, and Elite Renewables conversions rose from 84 to 358.
- A large case study library. It publishes 27 case studies and a 2026 State of AI Search report, plus a three-step process with a three to six month timeline.
Where they fall short
- One named person. It names only its CEO on the site, so a buyer cannot see who will run the account.
- No prices. Cost is unknown before a consultation.
2. Glass Digital

Glass Digital is a 13-person agency in Durham, trading since 2014. It runs SEO, GEO, PPC and affiliate programmes for UK ecommerce brands and says it does not offer social, creative or web build. It suits ecommerce teams that want a focused SEO company with direct access to the specialists on the account.
What they do best
- Measured ecommerce results. Zoro went from 0 to over 50,000 ranking keywords between August 2017 and November 2021, and House of Malt gained 180% organic sessions to category pages after 12 months.
- Open about charging. It names four directors, shows its Durham address and explains what hours are charged for, including that technical work is free.
- Regular reporting. Monthly reports come from an account manager, backed by a reporting dashboard.
Where they fall short
- Old case studies. It publishes no prices or minimum budget, and its organic search case studies are four to nine years old.
- No confirmed award. The site lists 44 award shortlists from 2021 and 2022 but no confirmed win.
3. Re:signal

Re:signal is a remote ecommerce SEO and GEO agency founded in 2012, with offices in London, Manchester and Los Angeles. Its clients include ASICS, FatFace, Vivobarefoot and Expedia. It suits established ecommerce brands that can commit to a published floor and want revenue forecasts, international content and digital PR in one retainer. Its entry price is From £10,000 per month.
What they do best
- Revenue-linked SEO. Vivobarefoot grew organic revenue by £2.76m (+68% year on year) and sessions by 1.59m (+75%) between August 2024 and January 2025.
- Confirmed awards. The UK Search Awards 2022 winners list shows it winning Best Small SEO Agency and Best SEO Campaign (Small).
- A defined team model. The approach page commits to a specialist pod, weekly communication, quarterly reviews and always-on dashboards.
Where they fall short
- A high floor. The stated minimum is £10,000 a month, which excludes smaller ecommerce brands.
- No named team. No delivery team or support response times are published.
4. Reboot Online

Reboot Online is a fully remote London SEO, digital PR and GEO agency, incorporated in 2012, that works mainly for enterprise and mid-market brands. It publishes 53 case studies, including TUI, Numan and Liquidation Centre, and runs German-market link campaigns. It suits larger brands that want technical work, link building and AI search visibility together.
What they do best
- Awards on organisers’ lists. It won Best Large SEO Agency at the European Search Awards 2026 and Best Global Large SEO Agency at the Global Search Awards 2025.
- Share of voice results. The TUI case study moved share of voice from 46% to 78% in a family-holiday category.
- Lead and ranking gains. Liquidation Centre reports a 92% year-on-year rise in GA4-tracked leads, and Numan reports gains across 1,120 UK keywords.
Where they fall short
- No prices or team size. It publishes neither and names no delivery team beyond its leadership, so a buyer cannot see cost or who does the work before a call.
- No account model. Daily stand-ups and two-week sprints are stated, but no account model or support terms.
5. Wildcat Digital

Wildcat Digital is a Sheffield SEO, PPC and paid social agency of about 23 named staff, founded in 2018. It works mainly with small and growing businesses and says every client gets a named account manager and a monthly report. It suits a small business that wants SEO from a team it can name. Our price label is About £500 to £1,500 a month for small-business SEO (our estimate), since Wildcat’s own article gives those ranges as industry figures and not its prices.
What they do best
- Account management. The Plumlife and Crest Surveyors testimonials describe a proactive account manager.
- Traffic with baselines. Fourth Wall grew from 231 to 1,336 organic users a month over two years, and Altitude PR gained 276.1% organic traffic between September 2022 and June 2024.
- Some openness on cost. A free cost-calculator tool and a stated digital PR floor sit on its pricing article.
Where they fall short
- Borrowed price ranges. Its SEO prices are industry ranges that the agency says are not its own.
- Filing and awards. Companies House shows an overdue confirmation statement on the filing page, and no award from an organiser’s list was found.
6. Gripped

Gripped is a London B2B marketing agency, founded in 2017, that sells SEO, GEO, paid media and website work only to SaaS, AI and tech companies. It publishes monthly price tiers and a six-week onboarding plan. Its entry price is From £3,500 a month. It suits B2B SaaS and tech firms that want SEO tied to pipeline reporting.
What they do best
- Pipeline-level results. Cloudbooking shows £2.4m of qualified pipeline over 12 months, and Crownpeak shows £1.3m of pipeline in one quarter.
- Published tiers. It lists what each tier includes, a typical monthly range and its notice terms.
- Stated contact rhythm. Weekly syncs, a shared Slack channel and named specialist roles are described.
Where they fall short
- SEO is one channel of several. The SEO-led Performance tier starts at £7,500 a month before any ad spend.
- No baselines or named people. Both headline results are given without a starting baseline, and no team members are named.
7. Hallam

Hallam is a Nottingham agency of about 35 people, with a London office, founded in 2000. It sells SEO, AI search, paid media, digital PR and web work only to B2B and purpose-led brands. It suits B2B marketing teams in SaaS, manufacturing and professional services that want search tied to pipeline.
What they do best
- Awards on organisers’ lists. It won Best LLM Adoption & Integration at the European Search Awards 2026 and Best Use of Search B2B (PPC) Large at the Global Search Awards 2025.
- A migration case study. Holcim UK kept 94% of organic search equity through a 2025 domain migration.
- An audit-first start. Every SEO engagement begins with an audit, and the site names about 35 staff with roles.
Where they fall short
- No prices. It publishes no prices, packages or minimum budgets, so a buyer cannot judge fit before a call.
- Mixed headline figures. Its published results mix a cost per qualified lead and media mentions with search metrics.

What SEO services actually cost
Two agencies on this page publish a monthly entry price, and neither number is the whole bill. Re:signal’s From £10,000 per month is its stated floor for typical engagements. Gripped’s From £3,500 a month is its entry tier, and its SEO-led tier starts higher and excludes ad spend and website rebuilds. The other five publish no price, or in Wildcat Digital’s case an industry range that the agency says is not its own.
Before you compare quotes, check whether each of these is included or extra:
- Content. Articles, landing pages and copywriting are often a separate line from technical work.
- Digital PR and link building. Some retainers include a set number of placements and some price them per campaign.
- Development time. Fixes to templates, speed and migrations may need a developer, and some agencies on this page do not build sites.
- Reporting and tooling. Dashboards and rank tracking are standard at some agencies and add-ons at others.
- Contract length and notice. Wildcat Digital describes six-month renewing agreements, and Gripped states three months’ notice.
As a rough guide (our estimate), a small-business SEO retainer from a UK agency runs from the hundreds to the low thousands of pounds a month, and enterprise programmes run far higher. Where an agency publishes nothing, its entry above says so, and any figure we give is our estimate and not a quote.
FAQ
Ask for case studies with a starting figure, a time window and the channel measured. Check who will run your account, because several agencies here name only their leadership. Then ask what the retainer includes, since content, digital PR and link building are often separate lines.
Only two of the seven publish a monthly entry price: Re:signal from £10,000 per month and Gripped from £3,500 a month (with its SEO-led tier higher). The rest quote after a call. Treat any figure you see as a starting point and ask what is excluded.
Exposure Ninja says meaningful results take three to six months, and its case studies report gains over periods from six to nine months. Glass Digital's House of Malt result was measured after 12 months. Plan for at least two quarters before judging an SEO company.
A specialist suits a clear search brief such as ecommerce category growth or B2B pipeline. A broader agency suits you if SEO, paid media and web changes need to be planned together. Gripped and Hallam sell SEO alongside paid media, while Glass Digital says it offers no social, creative or web build.
